Lifeguard Certification Class 1, Day 3
This is a 3-day class. Participants must attend all three days to complete certification. Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard. Successful completion of this three-day class results in a 2-year certification in Lifeguarding that includes first aid, professional-level CPR and AED in one certificate.
Participants must be at least 15 years old and pass certain swimming requirements outlined below. 7 Hours of eLearning required to be completed prior to the first-class meeting and information will be emailed to participants a week before the class begins. Participants will be tested on the following at the first class: 200-yard swim (front or breaststroke), 20-yard and 7ft dive brick retrievals, and 2 minutes of treading water (using only legs). Please bring a swimsuit and towel with you to class. Participants that do not successfully complete the class prerequisites will be dismissed from the class and a refund will not be provided. The class-fee covers all three-days and includes a Red Cross certificate fee.
